Officers Reports:
Director – Ron Matthews, Ron let the membership know that he will be having knee surgery and may not make it to the next meeting. At the District meeting at Post 90, Black Canyon City last month we were awarded the traveling plaque for having the most members in attendance. Good job and thank you to those that came down to support our post.
Dues for ALR will be the same $20, Suzanne is collecting the money and distributing the cards. If you do not renew by 1 March, you will be dropped from the roster.
VA News, they are now offering Optometry service again. The traffic pattern changes at the main flagpole, beware. Blood drive to be held 5 March at the VA.
At the AZALR quarterly meeting on 13 Jan the following topics were discussed. No cut out stars can be on the vest; they must be retired honorably with the flag they belong to. No pins or patches above the American flag, except for a religious symbol. No inappropriate road names. The 2nd annual statewide legacy ride is scheduled for 25-28 Apr. Starting at Post 25 Cottonwood and ending at Post 19 Yuma.
Nominations for officers will begin at next month’s meeting, time to step up. Please let us know of any events or activities that you might know.
Asst. Director – John Moffitt- 20 Feb we will be delivering the exercise equipment that was purchased by District 8 will be delivered to the VA Dom. Be at Post 6 at 1330 to go help deliver. ALR District 8 has a pool tournament and would like to have our chapter join, need 8 pool players to make a team. Post 6 has said we can use their post when it is our turn to host. PNC plans for the 5 years are to take down the current shelter and flagpoles and build a new one to the east. There will be a memorial wall built behind the current shelter.
Road Captain – Bob Meadowcroft, We had 2 good rides in Jan that had more trikes than bikes attend. This week’s ride might be cancelled unless more riders attend.
Webmaster – Ron Arrigoni, 884 followers, 6 new likes this last month. This number keeps going up, send me your pictures of any ALR events you attend, and they will get posted.
Quartermaster/Membership – Suzanne Covell, membership stands at 31. Treasurer – Bob Dorfman reported that the current balance is 2933.91. Motion
made by John Moffitt to approve, second by Mike Covell. Passed, pending audit.
Sgt at Arms – Mike Covell, no report
Chaplain – Juanita Moffitt, no report
Motion to accept the Officer’s reports was made by John Moffitt and seconded by Bill Hudson. Passed.
Announcements:
ALA is having a raffle for a patriotic travel mug; the drawing will be at the March meeting.
20 Apr is the Veteran’s Car show, this year to be held at Heights Church.
Old Business:
Send your hours to Ron Arrigoni, the book is on the table at all meetings. Will have a 50/50 drawing before the Post meeting. And raffle tickets for the quilt are available, drawing to be held at the March meeting.
New Business:

Anything else for the good of the Legion?
Bill Hudson is requesting help with a work party for a fellow vet that is unable to pull weeds due to recent surgery. This will be held on Friday, 16 Feb.
Next meeting will be 12 Mar 2024.
