The American Legion Post 108, Prescott Valley, Arizona, has had the honor of posting the American Flag along the south side of Hwy 69 for many years on holidays and special occasions. During the 13 times a year, we proudly display them for the community as we reflect on our many freedoms and the costs paid for those freedoms. Veterans have paid these costs along with their families and the loss to our community. Most of us know at least one of these Veterans, or their families and loved ones, or a co-worker.
Maintaining these flags, poles, and ground posts whether repairing or replacing, is a continuous expense. We are reaching out to the community for support by honoring our Veterans.
For a $25 donation, an engraved nameplate with the Veteran’s name of your choice and their service information will be added to one of these flags. You will be notified in writing what your nameplate will look like, and where to find it along the highway. Every time these flags are flown, you will know your Veteran is being honored. If you don’t have a Veteran to honor, we can choose a name for you from the POW/MIA or unclaimed deceased Veterans list.
